    THE BI-WEEKLY BOTTOM LINE

Programme News Got Priced Hard While a Commercial Owner Kept Buying

This page summarizes the two-week period's market moves and the one completed transaction across the 39 covered names.

Twenty-eight of the 39 covered names fell over the period, with a -5.0% median move against a +0.8% gain for the S&P 500, so the pressure sat inside the sector rather than the broader market. The deepest declines were concentrated in programme-stage names, while PTC Therapeutics completed its acquisition of the ST-920 Fabry gene therapy — the period's only company-announced transaction. That split between repriced pipelines and an active commercial buyer is the throughline for the rest of this update. So what: two forces, programme risk and commercial-stage buying power, are moving in opposite directions right now.

It is the period's only company-announced transaction in the set, and it came from a commercial-stage rare-disease owner rather than a development-stage platform. 4 The Standing Split Between Pipelines and Commercial Franchises Held NeuraCap's standing view prices this sector on CY2027E EV / Revenue, with a 4.7x sector median and a 19.8x Premium-tier median against 1.7x at the Discount tier. This period's evidence — programme-stage drawdowns alongside a commercial buyer closing a purchase — is consistent with that split rather than a challenge to it. +12.0% Best mover — Gyre Therapeutics, Inc. PUBLIC MARKET MOVERS

Programme Updates, Not the Market, Set the Price This Period

This page ranks the period's largest close-to-close price moves against the sector median and market benchmark.

Programme updates, not the broader market, set the price this period, with a sector median of -5.0% against a materiality bar of 9.6% (sector-relative) used to flag the moves worth explaining. The S&P 500 returned +0.8% over the same window, underscoring that the sector's pressure was specific rather than market-wide. Each move on this page is linked back to the filing or headline recorded in the window, and where no driver is recorded, the page says so. So what: reading the movers next to their disclosed catalysts tells you which names are being repriced on evidence versus sentiment.

This page lists the two-week period's highest-impact company news events with links to their source filings.

This period's highest-impact events include a clinical hold, a litigation calendar, and a label expansion decision, each linked to its underlying filing or article. The 'why it matters' lines are NeuraCap's read of the recorded evidence, not the companies' own statements. Sources follow a fixed reliability order — SEC filings first, then press releases and established outlets — so every claim traces back to something a reader can open. Sep 14 · NEWS · Newsfile Corp Law firm reminds Aardvark investors of the October 13, 2026 lead plaintiff deadline The litigation calendar now sits alongside the clinical calendar at Aardvark Therapeutics, Inc. Common Stock. That combination tends to shape the timing and leverage of any financing or partnering conversation. Runway decisions get harder when a company is managing a legal timetable and a regulatory one together. Sep 15 · 8-K · SEC EDGAR BioMarin discontinues VOXZOGO development in children with Noonan syndrome BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. Sep 15 · NEWS · PRNewsWire Investors in Aardvark notified of a pending securities fraud class action Multiple firms circulated notices in the same few days, which keeps the ARD-101 clinical hold in front of the market. Sustained attention on a single disclosure raises the evidentiary bar for the company's next update. The market is treating regulatory status changes in orphan programmes as the key credibility test. Sep 15 · NEWS · GlobeNewsWire Investor rights firm flags the October 13, 2026 deadline in the Aardvark action The repeated notices mark how much of the period's sector news flow came from one company's regulatory setback rather than from operating progress. That imbalance is part of why the covered set finished lower. When news flow is dominated by setbacks, operating progress elsewhere gets less credit than usual. Sep 15 · NEWS · GlobeNewsWire Shareholder rights firm opens lead plaintiff process in the Aardvark securities action For the sector, the signal is procedural rather than scientific: the ARD-101 hold now has a formal legal track. Counterparties assessing the asset will want the regulatory correspondence before anything else. Regulatory correspondence quality is doing more work in diligence than the headline data set.

    M&A & STRATEGIC ACTIVITY

A Commercial Rare-Disease Owner Adds a Fabry Gene Therapy

This page covers the period's one agreed transaction and the broader precedent-transaction record.

PTC Therapeutics completed its acquisition of the ST-920 Fabry disease gene therapy on September 21 — the period's only company-announced transaction, and it came from a commercial-stage rare-disease owner. This deal sits against a broader precedent set of recorded rare-disease transactions, giving it context against past dealmaking in the space. Deal multiples shown are LTM at announcement where disclosed, and the 'why the deal happened' read is NeuraCap's own. So what: a commercial owner adding a gene therapy asset while pipeline names get marked down is the clearest signal in this update.

    WHAT IT MEANS

What the Period Changes for Operators, Buyers and Advisers

This page translates the period's evidence into implications for operators, acquirers and advisers.

For owners and operators, this period's moves tracked programme and regulatory news rather than commercial execution, a reminder that the operating engine remains the differentiator. For acquirers, PTC's completed ST-920 purchase adds a current reference point for gene-targeted rare-disease assets bought by a commercial owner. For advisers, the storyline is easy to carry into a board room: pipeline names were broadly repriced while a commercial buyer kept acting. So what: these are observations from the recorded evidence, not recommendations, and they frame how each audience should read the next two weeks.

Deal records, values and multiples come from the platform’s transaction record (SEC 8-K extractions) exactly as recorded; each figure links to its citation. Treasury rates come from the platform’s Treasury series and are shown only when the 10-year moved at least ten basis points over the window (it did not in this window, so no rate figures appear). UNIVERSE QUALITY The update universe is the platform’s approved company set for this sector, subject to a $100M market-cap floor so small, loosely related names cannot dominate the statistics. 1 name below the floor was excluded from movers and statistics for this window. EVENTS & NEWS Company events are in-window 8-K filings; news items are publisher-sourced headlines fetched for the window (and any externally supplied items, marked as such). Operational and strategic developments (deals, partnerships, launches, expansion, guidance, leadership, regulatory outcomes) are shown first; capital-return mechanics and conference appearances are limited to one each. Every event links to its source. The deck never asserts an event that has no linked record. SOURCE HIERARCHY News is admitted in a fixed order of reliability: SEC filings first, then company press releases and investor-relations communications, then transaction documents, then established outlets (Reuters, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s and peers). Video and social platforms — including YouTube — are never used as sources. DRIVER ATTRIBUTION A stock move is linked to an event only when the event falls inside the window, and only in calibrated language ("the move appears to reflect…", "shares moved following…"). Where no driver is recorded, the page says so and compares the move to the sector median instead. How the moves and statistics are computed

Each company's period move is the change in closing price from the last close before the window to the last close inside it (close-to-close). The sector median is the median of those moves across the covered names; the index return is computed the same way for the S&P 500 over the same dates. The largest single-day move inside the window is shown for each mover. Movers are the largest gainers and losers by period move; the attribution cards prefer movers whose in-window record explains the move. Movers carry the valuation tier assigned in the standing sector study (the latest NeuraCap sector outlook) where that study rated them.

Events, news and how a move is attributed

Company events are the 8-K filings made inside the window; news items are publisher-sourced headlines for the window, admitted in a fixed order of reliability: SEC filings first, then company press releases and investor-relations communications, then established outlets (Reuters, CNBC, The Wall Street Journal, Barron's and peers). Video and social platforms are never used. A move is linked to an event only when the event falls inside the window and only in calibrated language; where nothing in the record explains a move, the update says so rather than speculating. Every event links to its source.

Transactions in the window and the trailing record

Transactions are taken from SEC filings by announcement date; 0 were announced inside the window. The trailing record of 40 recorded transactions provides the reference multiples (EV over last-twelve-month revenue or EBITDA at announcement, as disclosed). A value whose own citation describes something other than the price paid is not shown as the deal value; transactions where the acquirer and the target are the same entity are treated as reorganisations and excluded.

Sources

Prices and index levels are market data through September 28, 2026; filings are the companies' SEC filings on EDGAR; press releases are the companies' own; other news items are from the established outlets named on each card; Treasury yields are published by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Every figure and every event in the update links to its record.
