About
Why NeuraCap exists
Serious company analysis has never been scarce. It has been rationed. NeuraCap was built to widen who gets it, and to be checkable enough that widening it does not mean watering it down.
The argument
Coverage has always stopped somewhere.
Institutional-grade coverage — a peer set chosen properly, a valuation range with a stated basis, the precedent transactions that actually bear on the business — has been available to a few thousand public companies. For everyone else the line simply stops. Private companies never had it. Smaller listed names that no analyst chose to follow never had it. The advisers, lenders and boards working on those companies have had to approximate, and have known they were approximating.
The reason was cost, not capability. The analysis is not conceptually hard; it is laborious. Someone has to read the filings, assemble the peers, find the comparable deals, work out which multiple to trust and write down why. That labour is worth paying for on a large-cap mandate and impossible to justify on a company nobody is going to earn a fee from. So the work was never done, and an entire population of businesses has been valued on rules of thumb and whatever the last buyer happened to pay.
That constraint has moved. The filings are machine-readable, the transaction record is structured, and a system can now do the reading and the assembly at a scale no coverage team could. What does not move is the standard the output has to meet: a figure you cannot trace is not evidence, and a range you cannot defend is not a valuation. So the whole company is organised around that standard rather than around the technology.
The result is one evidence base with three ways in. Free industry research that anyone can read without giving us an email address. A platform that evaluates a company — public or private — end to end. And advisory for the cases where the analysis needs a person behind it.
What we are not claiming
- That software substitutes for an analyst. It does the reading and the assembly; the judgement is still a person's.
- That the output is exact. A valuation is a range with a stated basis, not a single defensible number.
- That any of it is advice. Nothing NeuraCap publishes is a recommendation, an appraisal or a fairness opinion.
The data behind it
The argument is only as good as the evidence under it.
- 97.5%of figures confirmed against two independent sources
- 540,000+SEC filings processed, 2015 – 2026
- 40M+facts extracted from SEC EDGAR
- 4.1Manalyst estimates across 10,300 companies
- 208,000M&A transactions in the record
- 30,900earnings transcripts read
What each source class contributes, how often it refreshes, and which parts of an analysis are sourced rather than calculated is set out on coverage and data.
How we work
Method over personality.
Two sources before a figure counts
Every figure is checked against a second, independent source. The confirmation rate is 97.5%, and we publish it at 97.5% rather than rounding it up, because the exceptions are the part a careful reader wants to know about.
Outliers excluded, openly
Multiples that fail a plausibility gate are excluded rather than plotted at the edge of a chart. A range built on implausible comparables is worse than no range, because it still looks like evidence.
Readings, not assertions
Where a report interprets, it says so: NeuraCap reads the compression as, rather than compressed because. An attributed reading can be argued with. An asserted cause cannot be checked at all.
All three are set out in full, with the exclusions and the limits, in the methodology. How your own material is stored and who can reach it is on security and data handling.
What we publish
Read it before you talk to us.
Industry research
Sector outlooks and bi-weekly industry events and M&A updates, published in full. Read one end to end and judge the method for yourself.
Company reports
One company valued the way a banker would value it: methods, peer benchmarks, precedent transactions and the strategic options that follow.
Advisory
For the decisions that need a person behind the analysis. Custom work built on the same evidence base, scoped to the question in front of you.
Contact
Start with a question, not a form.
The most useful first message is a specific one: the company you are looking at, the decision behind it, and the date you need an answer by. That is enough for us to tell you whether the platform covers it, whether it needs advisory, or whether the free research already answers your question.
